Corrosion Resistance:Alloy C-22, with its controlled content of chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten, exhibits corrosion resistance to both oxidizing and reducing acids, as well as mixed acids. It is particularly suitable for resisting pitting and crevice corrosion in acidic halide environments. Nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy C-22, like C-276, contains tungsten and extremely low levels of carbon and silicon. It shares the same characteristics: 1. Excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidizing and reducing states; 2. Outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Alloy C-22 is a universal nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy that offers better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, including C-276, C-4 alloy, and Alloy 625. It demonstrates excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It exhibits exceptional resistance to oxidizing aqueous media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid, or mixed acids containing chloride ions. Additionally, C-22 alloy possesses ideal resistance to both reducing and oxidizing environments encountered during processes. With its versatile performance, it can be used in challenging environments or multifunctional facilities. C-22 alloy offers exceptional resistance to various chemical environments, including highly oxidizing substances such as ferric chloride, cupric chloride, chlorine, hot polluted solutions (both organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, CU acetic anhydride, seawater, and saline solutions.
