E(R)NiCr-3

INCONEL 840 welding wire is used for various welding methods such as gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, and submerged arc welding to weld alloys such as INCONEL 600, 601, 690, INCOLOY 800, 800HT, 330, and can also be used for surfacing of steel. When using NI-ROD 99 welding wire for submerged arc welding, INCOFLUX 4 submerged arc welding flux should be used. When using INCOFLUX 6 submerged arc welding flux for submerged arc welding, the maximum number of weld passes is three. The weld metal formed by INCONEL 82 welding wire has high strength, good corrosion resistance, good oxidation resistance, and high creep rupture strength at high temperatures.

Furthermore, INCONEL 82 welding wire has a wide range of applications and can be used for welding dissimilar materials such as alloys of the INCONEL series, INCOLOY series alloys, or welding INCOLOY 330 alloy with nickel, MONEL series alloys, stainless steel, and carbon steel. It can also be used for welding stainless steel with nickel-based alloys or carbon steel.

• Chromium (Cr): 18.0-22.0%

• Manganese (Mn): 2.5-3.5%

• Sulfur (S): 0.015% max

• Phosphorus (P): 0.030% max

• Copper (Cu): 0.50% max

• Other elements: 0.50% max

Performance:

• Minimum Tensile Strength: 80,000 psi (552 MPa)

• Elongation (4d): 30%
