Corrosion Resistance:321 stainless steel is a Ni-Cr-Mo austenitic stainless steel, its performance is very similar to 304, but due to the addition of titanium, it has better intergranular corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. The addition of titanium effectively controls the formation of chromium carbide. 321 austenitic stainless steel has good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere and is widely used in industries such as petrochemical, electric power, bridges, and automobiles. However, the "stainless" of stainless steel is not absolute. Due to special service environments, stainless steel can also corrode. Factors such as medium concentration, pH value, and temperature will have a significant impact on the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. For example, long-term use within the sensitization temperature range of 450~850°C will cause intergranular corrosion of stainless steel. The mechanism is C at the grain boundaries.
