Corrosion resistance:
Al-6XN (UNS N08367) is a super austenitic stainless steel with excellent resistance to chloride ion pitting and crevice corrosion. As a cost-effective corrosion resistant alloy, its overall corrosion resistance is a great leap forward from 316L, while its corrosion resistance is close to that of other corrosion resistant nickel-based alloys such as C-276, resulting in a significant cost advantage. Because of the addition of significant nitrogen components in the alloy, so that the Al-6XN material relative to conventional austenitic stainless steel (such as 304, 316, 317, etc.) has a higher tensile strength, while maintaining excellent toughness and impact strength of the material. ASME standards stipulate that the value of the permissible stresses, Al-6XN relative to the 316L to be 40% higher, compared to the Cu - Ni-alloys nearly double! Typical conditions: 60% sulfuric acid Typical working conditions: 60% sulfuric acid, below 80℃, annual corrosion rate <0.1mm.
Application areas:
Chemical vessels and pipelines, offshore oil and gas platforms, condensers, heat exchangers and piping systems in contact with seawater or crude oil, filter presses, storage tanks and rollers in the pulp bleaching process, flue gas desulphurization equipment (FGD) in thermal power plants, steel mills, petrochemical companies, crude oil distillation towers and fillers, desalination equipment and pumps, servo-water piping systems for nuclear plants, transformer housings exposed to marine environments, pharmaceutical equipment (for the purity of medicines). equipment (for the purity of drugs), food production equipment
Matching welding consumables:
The welding of Al-6XN stainless steel is recommended to use AWS A5.14 wire ERNiCrMo-3 or AWS A5.11 electrode ENiCrMo-3, the welding process and guide book are welcome to call for.
