SUMIKURA Precision Leveling and Flying Shear Line Arrives at Our New Precision Processing Center
In late September, our brand new precision processing center reached an important milestone with the arrival of its first major piece of equipment: a SUMIKURA precision leveling and flying shear line. With the facility’s foundational construction complete, this marks a significant step forward in expanding our precision processing capabilities.
The new line integrates advanced leveling technology with high-speed shearing to deliver improved sheet flatness, dimensional accuracy, and processing stability. Its 25-ton leveling unit features proven Japanese leveling technology and a multi-roll configuration designed to help release residual stress more evenly and maintain consistent flatness.
The shearing system processes sheet thicknesses ranging from 0.3 mm to 3.0 mm, with dimensional tolerances twice as tight as those achieved by our existing equipment. These capabilities will further enhance our ability to meet demanding requirements for precision sheet processing. It expands on our current capabilities of hot/cold rolling, slitting, laser cutting, and waterjet cutting.
Installation of the SUMIKURA line is now complete, and the equipment has entered the commissioning phase. Its arrival marks an important step in the development of our precision processing center, laying the groundwork for enhanced production capabilities and continued improvements in processing quality.
